`Shell Duck`

Visited LCyD at 13.00hrs today (Friday) another (fowl) foul day with a `hide temp of only 6c`
A small number of Wigeon still present, a pair of male Goosander and a delightful pair of Shell Duck, one was a female as seen on the water but a pair took flight and unable to sex the second bird.

  1. I visited Coed-y-dinas at 14.00hrs, no male Goosander but pair of female, the males probably at back of large island. The Shellduck had gone.

  2. Would be a bit more uncomfortable without the hide!! I remember sitting in there last year in my polar suit with my wee thermometer showing -16 - but the light was way better than this rubbish we have at the mo!

  3. Brian your too kind! it was the pair of female Goosander that I saw- messed up again - lol.The female Shell Duck was sitting on the water next to Wigeon - which she dwarfed.
