First Winter Male Scaup at L. CyD.

Very poor light this morning, but a couple of record shots of the bird which has been present for a few days. It appears to be moulting its juvenile back and flank feathers to reveal the whiter plumage of a male.

  1. nice one Chris, I'm pretty certain it's a pure Scaup now but have asked the north wales birders on their oppinions as they see this species on a much more regular basis.
