Swallows and Fieldfares !

This morning the family of swallows on the Wern are still here, and flying/feeding above our garden. At the same time, we saw our first fieldfares of the year, 6 or 7 of them, which had dropped in to feed on the windfall apples outside the window. Hope the swallows can make their long journey - it would be good to think that they could take advantage of this better weather, but we have never seen them quite as late as this.
