Winter is on the way

Pwll Penarth first thing this morning was a little cold but 2 Snipe and 2 Water Rail feeding next to each other made up for it although only managed record shots of both, lots of Redwing there too.

LCyD and all the usual about Pochard still there as Brian mentioned and only managed this half decent shot which I will settle for given where it usually stays.

After Leaving LCyD went for a walk down the river by where I live 5 Jays were seen very close by so will revisit tomorrow (I hope) Had a quick fly by from a Kingfisher, Dippers were very active and a GSW kept its distance but got a few record shots off which sadly is my best attempt with this bird this year.
