January feature: Winterwatch
The BBC couldn't have timed BBC2's Winterwatch programmes better, coinciding beautifully with a period of really cold weather across the UK. BTO has again been busy supporting the team with background data, stats and stories and this year Paul Stancliffe has been busy writing blogs to explain how birds cope with winter. Read about the birds that choose to migrate to the UK, how some species roost together to keep warm and how others adapt to the cold conditions.
