Ring-necked Duck - just out of County

For those local birders building a year list and happy to count birds outwith Montgomeryshire, you may like to know about the Ring-necked Duck on Llyn Blaenmelindwr in the hill above Ponterwyd  just over the Ceredigion border (as you approach from Llangurig turn right just before the BP garage).  It's a relatively small body of water and you'll get good views from the car - it's hanging around with half a dozen Tufties and a single drake Goldeneye.  I didn't have much time on Monday and couldn't work myself into a decent position so just attach a couple of record shots from the late afternoon gloom
