It's all so quite......

Or is it??

It's all too easy to think "it's that time of year again", so I decided to try and prove that theory wrong! I've not had a lot of spare time over the past couple of weeks, but what I have had I have tried to do something constructive.

Although not all of the following sightings are from in Monts themselves, when I have popped over the border (to Shrops and Rads)its generally been within a mile or so of Monts, some times just a matter of meters!

Here's a 'brief' summary of what I've managed to find:

1 Hobby nest (I'm told that's it's very unusual to have 4 Hobby eggs!), and possibly another nest site!

Several Nightjars (10+), inc 1 nest

2 Tree Sparrow colonies, both containing 15-20 pairs

A brood of 3 Long-eared Owls (an adult was also seen), 20+ Quail with the majority of them being in the Montgomery - Chirbury area, several Yellow Wagtails in suitable breeding habitats, good numbers of fledged Tawny Owls, a late Cuckoo and lot more!!

(all photos where needed, were taken under the correct licence)
